From March 23–27, 2026, 8th graders are invited to participate in a fun-filled week of themed days, including Twin Day (Monday), Royal Blue Day (Tuesday), Marvel/Favorite Character Day (Wednesday), Throwback Thursday (Thursday), and Crazy Hair Day (Friday). Conversations with the Chancellor is a citywide community engagement series hosted by the New York City Department of Education. These public conversations bring together students, families, educators, staff, and community partners with the Schools Chancellor to discuss critical school issues, share ideas, and build stronger partnerships. The goal is to listen, learn, and work together on topics like safety, academic excellence, and meaningful family participation in shaping the future of NYC public schools.
