• Lights On Afterschool

  Queens Community House Beacon Community Center at MS 210 is hosting a "Lights On Afterschool" event on October 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM in the MS 210Q schoolyard. As part of a nationwide initiative by the Afterschool Alliance, the event highlights the vital role of after-school programming with testimonials from parents, participants, and staff. Open to the entire community, the afternoon includes food, entertainment, games, and bounce houses. Attendees can request more information or RSVP by emailing beacon210admin@qchnyc.org.

• Cell Phone and Electronic Device Policy

  Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, in accordance with New York State law, New York City Public Schools is updating its policy regarding the use of personal internet-enabled electronic devices—including cell phones—in school.
  As in prior years, MS 210Q will implement Yondr pouches for electronic device storage throughout the school day.
